Do you agree? Yesterday, I had the privilege of sharing my experiences and lessons on leadership with a large, global team.
In my session, I highlighted the importance of four key leadership qualities:
✅ Integrity
✅ Consistency
✅ Transparency
✅ Empathy
these aren’t just words; they are behaviours that define how we lead our teams and create environments where people can thrive.
I shared examples from my own journey, like the challenges I faced during the COVID-19 pandemic when I had to lead a production site through uncertain times. I found that being present, adapting my approach based on the emotions and needs of my team, and showing genuine empathy were crucial in earning their trust and respect.
As leaders, we must be intentional in our actions and align our words with our behaviours. When we combine this with empathy, we create the conditions for our teams to achieve great things.
